Corsica: it's time to organize your stay

GOOD REASONS TO GET THERE

The Moor's head, the sunset on the Cap Corse and the smell of the maquis who intoxicates its many fragrances remain powerful symbols of this island region. Kallisté, Island Beauty, is a land of contrasts for its landscapes, heritage and customs, but above all an island in which to live and come and enjoy the hospitality of the Corsicans.

An island of nature

Composed of two departments (Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud), Corsica is like "a mountain in the sea, with Monte Cinto to peak (2 710 m) and over 1 000 km rugged coastline.
Nature is everywhere available between forests Lariccio pine, fir or oak, the rushing streams and cooling sources, the Mediterranean and its beaches and coves of white sand and high cliffs on the south coast around Bonifacio.
The Regional Natural Park of Corsica covers 40% of the territory of the island and home to the Scandola Nature Reserve first of France,. Other nature reserves are home to the island fauna and flora unique in France, as the islands that protect Cerbicales shags or Lavezzi islands that list no fewer than 68 species of fish, not forgetting the international marine park Bouches of Bonifacio.

An island marked by history

Prehistoric sites like the Lady of Bonifacio or the hundreds of menhirs spread over the whole island, with religious buildings like the famous Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption in Bastia and the Gothic Church of Bonifacio, through the works as the Genoese citadel of Calvi or of Ajaccio and bridges like Ota near Porto, here are all monuments that bear witness to the turbulent history of this island.
